December 9, 2010

Greetings all you blog-goers out there. As you can see, the past few days I have been trying to reinstate the blog, so I hope you start to return to visiting frequently. 🙂

Today, I am happy to introduce yet another “themed” day. This one is called Throwback Thursday!

The premise of this is that a friend of mine was reading a few of my older poems the other day and told me, “This is good, you should put it on your blog.” And I said, “Yeah! Throwback Thursday!” And so it was born. I figure I have enough poems from ‘way back when’ that this idea will keep going for awhile. Hopefully. I’m thinking it will be mostly poems, although a photo or two may slip in there from time to time, who knows?

So, for those of you who are needing an update on what day is what (if you even care so much), here it is:

– Throwback Thursday

– Feature Artist Friday

– Six Words Sunday

I mean, there are only three of them but, you know… 😛

So, please enjoy this very first Throwback Thursday by reading the following poem!

——————————

This one comes to us from February of 2005!

Perfect

There are perfect things in nature
Hidden so no one sees
As there are perfect things within myself
That I can’t seem to be.

There are perfect things within myself
I look for, but cannot find
As there are perfect things around me
That never seem so kind.

There are perfect things around me
So simple I cannot see
As there are perfect things in life
That just can not be me

There are perfect things in life
Which bring so much pleasure to mortal kind
As there are perfect things in everyone
That others search to find

There are perfect things in everyone
Hidden so we can’t see
As there are perfect things in nature
No one seems to be.
